This was truly our best stay in South Africa. It is a small guesthouse with only five rooms and therefore the service level is very high and very personal. Amanda and Judy feel like family and the guesthouse feels like your own home. The room is spacious. We had our own garden. The personal also came back in breakfast. You lacked nothing and were well taken care of. We were also lucky that we were allowed to enter our room early. It was also possible to upgrade (for a fee) to a more luxurious room. So nice, all of you. We will definitely be back here.

Nice guesthouse just outside of “Franshoekcity” but all within walking distance. Especially the host Amanda, who was very helpful not only with restaurant tips, but also fulfilled personal wishes in a very loving way.

Fantastic guest house - cosy, spacious, and lovely outdoor area with a fantastic view of the gorgeous Franschoek mountains. The breakfast and service was phenomenal. Would recommend to anyone!

Staff were friendly. Judy made us delicious breakfasts.The room was spacious and clean.Loved the view of the mountain from our room. Spacious balcony.
A diffuser needs to be added to the living area to give a fresh & welcoming smell😊

This is a great place to stay.

We were served breakfast on the veranda. The breakfast was fantastic especially the omelettes.
Julie was helpful on arrival and booked our taxi to get us to our tram tour.
There was safe parking.
Nice quiet location possibly a little far for some to walk to and from town (20 minutes)

Stunning property tucked away in a quiet street of Franschhoek. Rooms are beautifully appointed and comfortable. Albeit that we had booked a small room, it was still spacious with a good sized bathroom with rain shower and quality amenities. Breakfast was a sumptuous feast overlooking the beautiful manicured garden and pool. What a beautiful 'home from home' Masion d'Ail is with warm sincere hospitality. Will definitely recommend it to all who have discerning style.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and Honeymoon at Maison D'Ail Guest House. Not only are the people working there incredible and kind but our whole stay was phenomenal. I would hands down recommend a visit here and we cannot wait to go back. The Maison d'Ail Guest House is also in the perfect location as its walking distance to the centre of Franschhoek and you still get to wake up and see the incredible mountains surrounding Franschhoek.

2 nights in Franschhoek at Maison d'Ail. The owner is lovely and very helpful. Maison d'Ail is a great place to stay. Rooms are very spacious and breakfast is perfect. It is within walking distance of the town and takes about 10 minutes but it's a nice walk and we would definitely stay again.
